Banh Chao Savory Crepe
These crepes are a savory delight. It is common in Southeast Asian cuisine specifically in Vietnam and Cambodia. These are often eaten with a plethora of vegetables and you wrap them up into a delicious bite.
Ingredients
BATTER INGREDIENTS:
1 pack banh xeo mix
2 cups coconut milk
2 ½ cups water
1 bunch green onion
MEAT FILLING:
1 lbs ground beef or pork
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp chicken base
2 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp salt and pepper (or to taste)
24 shrimp
Instructions
In a pan, add in your meat filling ingredients and cook thoroughly and remove (except for the shrimp). Cook your shrimp in a pot of boiling water then remove.
Mince your green onions. In a bowl combine all of your batter ingredients.
Ladle 1 scoop of batter and swirl around hot oiled skillet. Cook til crispy. Cover with a lid and let steam for a couple of minutes. Once set, add proteins and fold over.
Plate with fresh vegetables, serve and Enjoy!
